Joan <<I agree and have been adding to my treasury and agency debt on sell off's>>

"agency" debt? so you're buying ginnie mae's? do you feel comfortable reaching for that bit of extra yield? i'm having a philisophical issue being long debt backed by real estate when i'm short the whole residential real estate complex, but Bill Gross is apparently loading up so i'm wondering if i should just get over my hang-ups. are you adding treasuries/agencies for a TRADE or do you think rates stay that low (3.5%-4.5% area for 10-year's) for a while?

i've been dollar-cost averaging into 10-year STRIPS and 10, 20-year TIPS with most of my assets since 1996, with nearly all of them (except my shorts and a couple of longs) since 1998. i have yet to get an equity DCA-buy-and-holder to guess just how far BEHIND boring old me they are <g>

Cheers
