good advice, and i often follow it myself. but i slipped. and in this instance, signing up for their newsletter looked pretty straightforward. often there's a pre-checked box at the end of the form that says 'send me all the crap you've got', or words to that effect, and all i have to do is uncheck it. <g>

"BTW UPS are great, mine's kicked in 4X over the last year"

i've only had this ups a week and i'm getting bored waiting for a power outage. i figure i should trip the circuit breaker anyway just to confirm that it works, right? <g3>
