That's one (current) interpretation of the meaning of that gobbledegook. There have been many other differing ones in the past by people who wanted the Second Coming to occur in THEIR lifetime. Nonsense can twisted many ways.

Come now, you don't really that think the words in Revelations are actually clear and concise enough that ANYONE can say RELIABLY what they mean?

And there still remain passages in the NT which can be clearly interpreted as meaning Jesus would return in the lifetime of people then alive. Period.

And, yes, a great many amazing and wonderful things can be wrung out of that mass of contradictions called the Bible.
