Hope that caffeine has kicked you into gear and that you're on your way. I went out walking in the forest and fields on the back of my property yesterday and it was great. I could hear a Pileated Woodpecker knocking away on a tree, Chickadees twittering, and there was even a Phoebe singing in the birch grove -- a sure sign of Spring. I'm already getting excited about putting the canoe in the river. I was looking at some photos that I shot from the shoreline of some secluded lakes late last fall... lakes that I hope to get back to for some daytrips or perhaps a weekend lake-to-lake journey this season. Made me feel just about krazy to get the canoe out... Only the water is still about half frozen here and even when the ice is off, it won't really be too safe for paddling until early April... but that's only about... hmmm 6 weeks away. Whhhheeeeeeee!!!! (o:
