Michael,
Elaine's bullishness since 1988 is not what made her famous, but her bearishness in late 1987.
You do have something to sell. Yourself. And your payment is the ego-stroking you receive. Fiat money is not the only unit of commerce.
My medical degree and my pride do make me lash out when you assume I have "not had a classical education." You are not a permabear. I am sorry.
You did state that USRX would have a PE of NMF. Now you state that they will have earnings and say the first statement was, what do you call it, an extreme? As in an extreme example, as in a mathematical proof? That was not clear to me in your first message as you did not make it clear. It simply struck me as absurd that you stated that USRX would have no earnings, you being a fundamentalist and all. It seems that my feeling was reasonable. Nothing in the balance sheet or trailing earnings or forward-looking statements by the CFO predicts no earnings in the near to intermediate future.
A technician cannot tell anything about where USRX will go next. It is indeed a reactive technique, not very useful at this point other than to say there is no buy or sell signal currently. Only those with the utmost logic, common sense, and willpower can play the markets as a technician successfully though, as one should neither use another's system nor use only one system. Flexibility is key. There are many ways to make money in the market. You have limited yourself to fundamental analysis. Why you must make fun of that what you don't understand is not clear. Acceptance of various ways of doing things I know is not a strong point of the older generations, so I guess that'll be how it is.
