Vaughn,
George suggested to me that BB's pronouncement that VD always leads to rich pipes was in the context of Aber and NWT discoveries. If that's the case, then I can't take much comfort in the fact of VD in core. I think I have to disagree with you on a couple points. On page 2 of the diamond booklet from NWT with Walt's artwork on the cover it says that .5 millimetres is the dividing line between micro and macro diamonds. I would think that the authors of that pamphlet must be stating the industry accepted standard. I'm pretty sure that I've seen the .5 mm figure used other places besides WSP press releases. Maybe in places like Sierra Leone they don't think stones over .5 mm are anything to write home about, but we're talking NWT.
The other exception I take is describing the breccia as a sill. I think WSP considers it a pipe and BB considers it a pipe. If it is a sill, it's at least 55 meters wide and over 100 meters deep. Would that make it the mother of all sills? Or am I being silly? I guess since WSP hasn't provided much drill info. that I guess no one can technically call it a pipe, but I'm convinced that it must be a pipe, and even if it turns out to be a sill, there's probably a lot of tonnage there.
In any event, we shall all hopefully know a lot more by next week and the week after when the breccia counts come in. Let's hope it is enough to see who's bet correctly on this play, and not have to wait another several months for definitive word. If it's good news, than maybe the SUF MacKay/Back Lake project's proximity will help boost SUF's price. I'm holding my SUF, waiting for $500/sh.
