because the 388K jobless claims is within 12K of the magic "we're losing jobs" number, and 7% is as good as it gets in terms of GDP, we are growing as fast as China. 388K jobless claims after losing almost 3 million jobs in the past 3 years- most folks I know who are unemployed don't even bother to file, they lost their benefits years ago. Snow says we will start adding 200K jobs/month. Xmas job growth is always higher thanks to the retail McJobs that get added, so whatever happens this month won't tell us much, UNLESS we grow over 400K jobs which might be meaningful. Until these jobs numbers start moving to the upside, we aren't going to have any meaningful deficit recovery either.
