Sorry for the inconvenience. Just so I don't cross the
line in the future, do we at SI now have to quit posting
interesting articles we find on the internet? I will not
knowingly post anything from the SF Chronicle ever again.

Posting only a paragraph or two from an article has it's
drawbacks. It may not be available at the original link
a few days or weeks from now. If you go beyond a few
paragraphs, the SF Chronicle & their ilk will just
complain we posted too much of their material.

What are we to do?
