Paul, first let me thank you for an excellent and informative article on the LEC. You did a great job in presenting a clearcut narrative to a very intertwined and still unfolding story.

Unfortuately it sounds to me like a recipe for conflict, intrigue and sabotage -- or is that too strong. As an analogy I see it something like having Microsoft(ILEC) & it employees in charge of the Sun(CLEC) servers that share the same space in Redmond with the NT servers. If the analogy is way off base let me know.

What amazes me is that the arrangement works at all.

Now I can see why a reliable and well known provider like Westell becomes a big asset.
