That guy must be smokin' somethin'. the XP-1800+ blew the P4-2.0 Ghz away. The real joke was Bapco(iNTEL) Sysmark 2001...which continually runs Windows Media Encoder in the background. Just so happens that WME only reconinized "GenuineIntel"...and because of that wasn't using SSE on any other chip. When the patch was applied...the XP took that benchmark too...
The P4 does win a memory bandwidth bench or too...but alone, that doesn't mean anything...
In Quake 3, which is the P4s forte...the XP has made up a lot of ground...
