although I'm not sure just how many LLMs the world can tolerate (or provide power for).
It depends on the applications, and they are wide-ranging.

My wife is even involved in developing AI for Big Pharma, where writing documents for clinical trials require a great deal of work. And she's not the techie type.

This really is the next phase of computing. From mainframes, to PCs, to the Internet, to cloud and social media, and now AI-assisted computing.

And yes, it will require a TON of silicon and computing power. Sam Altman wasn't exaggerating that much when he called for $7T in capital investments for silicon.
