If the bonds are excercised to cover shorts, it will not directly effect the price. Bond holders will not need to shop in the open market for shares. They get new shares at a fixed price. We loose 3M shorts, but the price doesn't change. The good part is that the shorts have already sold, and wouldn't need to sell in the open market.
