LARGO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2000

Netoy.com Corporation (OTC:NTOY) announced today that Vertical Capital, LLC a Dallas, Texas based venture capital firm has made a significant private equity investment in Netoy.

Netoy, is an established Internet toy retailer and software developer. Netoy's wholly owned subsidiary, 2Animate Corporation develops easy to use animated assembly instructions for various products that require assembly by the purchaser. These animated products are thin enough to be portable over the Internet while retaining a high level of detail and image resolution which makes it a superior alternative to printed assembly instructions. 2Animate's solution takes advantage of a unique synthesis of vector-based graphics combined with a production process that revolutionizes turnaround time for complex animations.

"We have great confidence in the space that Netoy operates within. We believe that there is room in this space for new and innovative ideas to streamline these operations into completely seamless transactions through the correct implementation of B2B applications", said Michael Pickens, Senior Managing Director of Vertical Capital. "We have taken a large enough equity position in Netoy to be a major voting influence upon the future operations of Netoy. Our plan is to work with the recently restructured management group of the company to meet certain strategic goals in this exciting space. Vertical Capital is not nor has never been a passive investor. We have always been able to bring substantial tangible and intangible assets to the table and we strongly believe that Netoy will make the most of our abilities."

According to Gilbert Serrano, CEO and President of Netoy, "Michael Pickens and Vertical Capital have an excellent industry and institutional reputation, both in the United States and abroad, and we are fortunate to have developed this affiliation. With Vertical Capital, Netoy will receive the skilled support and recognition it deserves from a significant force in the global financial community."
