Shiaa insurgency does exist witness al sadr but it has different goals. Sunni insurgency is a mixture of varietys of islamist terrorism, baathism and nationalism. The Shiaa wants the US off their back and a right to run their own affairs under an iran like, lighter mullocracy. Sistani and al sadr somehow coexist in this scenario. ...

All valid possibilities. I can't judge the odds. But I will say those are possibilities that need to be considered and resolved before you set foot in Iraq. Unfortunately, it's a little late for that.

The dilemna is that we can't stay, because they won't let us and we can't leave because of what might happen. But we'll have no other choice but to leave.
