well yesterday the si programmers finally got around to making that 'transfer of title' in the thread header. my name now shows in the lamar's place.
one difference will be that lamar will start receiving a lot fewer computer learning messages in his inbox. i think that will be fine with him. <g3>
for the purists among us, i have made sure that the thread's original start date, as well as lamar's original mission statement, remain intact. imo, there is no improving on lamar's premise for starting this thread 2 1/2 years ago.
as the current 'keeper of the flame', i may add a thing or two to the header from time to time, based on a few ideas i have and any input that is generated. but the whole reason for this thread's existence shall, of course, remain the same. if i do anything differently, it will only be to reiterate more often that every level of computer user is welcome here.
i said not too long ago in my reply to lamar's post that, "i feel like a guy who has just adopted a child." corny, maybe, but so true.
