I was skeptical from day one as well, and saw no reason for the valuations it had. My impression was that TMTA's goal was to lead in performance, but when it was painfully obvious that that was not going to happen, they switched their strategy to low power, which Intel easily countered.

I would be suspicious of any new product that is developed with so much secrecy, that there is a reluctance to release independent benchmarks after the product is publicly announced.
