Hello Barb, Selling of order flow is not necessarily a sin. In fact, for most longer-term investors, an EBroker will do just fine. For the more active, short-term investors who are flipping in and out of positions consistently, a direct access system will offer better fills and more control. Execution times are faster, slippage is lower, and you have the option of instantly (a second or so) canceling orders...which is extremely important when stocks are moving fast.

There are other advantages, such as real time account management, risk management, etc...all designed to cater to the more active trader.

Best of luck,

Michael Turner
