Dragonfly, your capacity calculations agree with no one elses. Most
particularly, those of Readware

Readware and Valueman have never, not once, provided a set of calculations for capacity or an explanation for the assumptions underlying those numbers. Valueman has specifically said he got his numbers from people within the companies. As I've pointed out, if you do the math (and I did) these numbers don't make sense-- therefore the assumptions used in the two numbers are different.

Trust, but verify. I've been asking for verification, or a calcuation (rather than a magical "capacity" number) for months. Nobody has it. Valueman and Readware are happy to accept the numbers from their sources and pursue it no further. However, from a gross bandwidth viewpoint, these don't make sense--- so, what are the assumptions?

I find it interesting that your standard for me not being wrong would be to convince two dyed in the wool Loral/Globalstar fans that their system is not superior. I think that's an unfair standard.

I don't care if people disagree-- I just want to figure out the facts. What are the assumptions used to get at these net capacity numbers from the gross calculations?
