Even though he manages 8M. it seemed that the article mentioned he advises many people. Also avg return of 26% over 7 years looks good.
The article is not carefully written.
For example, when they say:
"Heavy selling and modified
earnings estimates have slowed
Ascend's descent."
I presume they mean to use accelerated instead of slowed, hard to
know how seriously to take an article that is not carefully written.
Actually, if everything written is factual, I am not so much bothered
that he manages only 8M but I would look at his earning record.
Managers who manage very large amounts, although can affect price somewhat, need not be taking the best decisions and making optimal use of their money.
