Samsung, Apple back in court today over $1.05B judgment
Dallas Business Journal by Lance Murray, Digital Content Producer
Date: Thursday, December 6, 2012, 5:59am CST

Samsung Electronics and Apple Inc. will be back in a San Jose, Calif., courtroom on Thursday as
Samsung asks a federal judge to throw out or reduce a $1.05 billion judgment Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL)
won last summer in a patent dispute between the two technology giants.

The Wall Street Journal reported that each company plans to ask U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh to

reverse some issues from the trial that ended in August.

Samsung argues that, at the least, hundreds of millions of dollars should be taken off the judgment,

while Apple will argue that some of Samsung's offending products should be taken off the market,
the Journal said.

Samsung's U.S. telecom arm, Samsung Telecommunications America, is based in Richardson.
