I agree with everything you said. This is what I don't understand. When my oldest was 16, there were jobs to be had. He didn't need work experience from two previous jobs. That was 15 years ago. The world has changed, I realize that. What I don't understand is how can these kids that want to work, get work if they haven't ever worked? My son said one of his friends lied on an application and got a job. They never checked with any previous employer. He used his parents friends as references and put down their office numbers. I told him that was dishonest and he wasn't going to do that.
