>I call a stock a "momentum" if it is moving up, not because of increase in value of co, but because everyone is "piling on" and trying to catch the run.
...and INTC, MSFT, CSCO are moving up "not because of increase in value of the co"? Their market shares, profits, and revenues are all increasing and a large component of their price appreciation is due to historic and continued forward growth.
Certainly, they are moving up, for a number of reasons, but they are surely NOT pure momentum plays. Now the so-called "internet stocks" are indeed pure momentum plays.
