that would involve killing one to save another, would not it? And we are not talking about killing a terrorist here.... You can not pick and choose when the logic is applicable or when it is not.

I'm not picking and choosing. I am applying consistent logic. If you have a right to kill Ted because he is going to kill you (self defense) then I also have a right to kill Ted to save you (defense of others). It doesn't have to be a terrorist who is trying to kill you or who is killed by me. Applying this idea to terrorists is just applying the general idea that also applies to everyone else.
