I've said it here before and I'll say it again. The company reprices options to retain key employees. Keep in mind there are always new players trying to lure away engineers with juicy stock options. Sure they are speculative, but it's certainly more attractive than sticking around holding on to options that are all but worthless. Also keep in mind that a small company like CUBE relies on innovation to stay ahead of the pack. Stock options are not generally regarded as incentive pay, rather it is part of an overall employee retention program.
