It's really an overwhelming job, but I'd like to be as honest and forthright as I can be and not just spout the self-serving physician side of things. As you allude to with the Hillary story, the nasty P-word (politics) has entered into this important part of our economy, and given the palm greasing nature of our system (Insurance companies give to Republicans; Unions, Education Establishment and Lawyers give to Democrats), we can't expect rational or salutary results from the laws and regulations which get through.
