FWIW, I trust this company will continue to do whatever it takes to improve shareholder value. ALA is an very old French blue chip that used to be into everything from wineries to publishing. Over the years they have unloaded most of their non-telecom related assets, and I would expect that to extend to slower growth businesses as time marches on. I think they still hold their battery business also, though I know I read something recently that it's on the block. Last year was a key year for ALA as they finally received approval from the French government to unload their substantial holdings in Framatome.

I believe ALA is still mostly undiscovered by US retail investors, and perhaps not clearly understood by some institutions.
