Good luck! This argument has been done a few times in the past with little success! I agree with you and Lindy on semantic grounds, but the problem seems to be an inability for many to reconcile anything that hints of a positive trait with anything as despicable as suicide bombing or hijacking planes to fly into buildings. All sorts of connections and reasons are given that avoid the bottom line-- which is that no true coward will decide to strap on explosives or aim at a tower and look death in the face- I don't care how many virgins he's promised. Labeling the killing of innocents or not fighting mano a mano as a cowardly act within the context of war is different-- that definition I can agree with, but the act of voluntarily facing death because you believe in a cause takes a certain amount of courage. I looked all the definitions up -- again-- and still believe that to be true.
But I don't think the distinction will be any more easily made than it was the last ten times it was discussed.
