Ahhh Pat...we do agree on that...those are two of the most beautiful places...(sincerely)

In fact, we are debating on going this summer to Carmel/Monterey again, BUT questioning if we should with the energy mess.... Questions like: Are there lights in the rooms, is there enough hot water in the hotels and restaurants (we all know where Hepatitis A comes from, and unfortunately, I did get that in Carmel in 1987...during a drought--was VERY sick for some time!, and trust me, we only visit the "nicest" places to eat and stay), will there be a surcharge on the hotels, restaurants for "energy increase", as there was in DC in April when there....

Hummmm...maybe we should get a second house....but then we might be accused of using twice as much power....
