The war between Russia/Ukraine was so unnecessary; that is to say, it could have easily been avoided.

Countries in Europe were already trying very hard to appease PooTin.

When the invasion of Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk occurred in 2014, NATO did nothing but issue a few targeted sanctions.

Sweden and Finland actively resisted joining NATO out of fear of antagonizing RuZZia.

Germany was happy to buy RuZZian gas, thereby engaging in diplomacy through commerce.

What else could the U.S. and Europe have done to appease PooTin, short of sucking his little dick like Trump would have done?
