I don't think that parents should continue to raise a child after they have figured out that they aren't up to the task. The safe haven law is not the best response to that situation, but the only alternative allowed under law is to abuse the child until it's taken away. That's even worse.

It's even better to catch the circumstances earlier, such as before the child is born.
