In 1985, I met a man in a Bloomindales in South Miami, Florida named Carlo Corinto. He was demonstrating his new scent. I said something like, "what makes you think you can compete?" His answer impressed me. He told me how long he had been in the fragrance business in France [he was Spanish], and told me to look carefully at the competition. He said, "they spend millions of dollars designing their bottles. I spent 6 years perfecting the scent."

And he was so right. I bought several bottle that day from Bloomies, but moved out of Florida to Calif shortly afterwards. I assumed I would find it their as well, but the scent was only available on the East Coast in the finest stores, like Bloomingdales and Lord and Taylor.

It has now been 20 years since that conversation. Every department store I have visited since then, I have asked about the fragrance to no avail.

LO AND BEHOLD. Perfumania.com has the distinctive square bland bottle of the finest scent my nose hairs come across...Carlo Corinto. Not only that, but it is ON SALE and there is NO SHIPPING.

I see how this site makes a difference. Their selection is first rate and their worldwide program of buying, will appeal to the masses far beyond our domestic shores.

I would say we have a successful launch.
