NH is still not for sale

In two days, New Hampshire holds the first-in-the-nation primary. As it has done in the past, it has the opportunity to send the message to the nation, and the world, that here we value courage, competence and experienced leadership over big money and little conviction.
That message and those values are best exemplified by U.S. Sen. John McCain. He is, as the saying goes, the "real deal" and his steadfastness and straight talk -- spoken directly to New Hampshire citizens -- have impressed thousands of Granite State Republicans and independents.
We have noted that we don't agree with all of McCain's positions. On balance, however, we find him to be the most trustworthy conservative in the field and by far the best qualified individual to lead America through these perilous times.
Meanwhile, Big Media and party fat cats are discovering in Mitt Romney what their predecessors found with Nelson Rockefeller, John Connally, and others: Money may get you a seat at the table, but it still doesn't buy New Hampshire. |
