Jean-Robert, I have read his remarks re branding and my reaction is a rather large yawn. It seems to me that the point of CGI seeking American acquisitions is exactly to avoid the necessity to build a brand from scratch in the first place. I may be missing something so I'd be interested in hearing what value you (and others) see in his expose.

I notice that the author has spend considerable energy nit-picking at CGI over the past few weeks - one day he considers Nortel very smart to outsource to Perot but as soon as the possibility of outsourcing to CGI comes up, his focus switches to the risk that this represents for CGI.

Why should he care about CGI at any rate? A personal agenda perhaps? Or is it simply the all-too-common Canadian phenomenon of undervaluing our own successes?

Incidentally, I note that his "The End of An Upward Trend" posting on November 11 appears to have been embarrassingly pre-mature - CGI is up $10 per share since then.
