L'Act de Patriot

By DonSurber

We keep hearing from the anti-Bush left that the War on TerrorismIslamo-nutcase-ism has cost us our freedoms. If we let the FBI look at our library records, the terrorists will have won. Rubbish. By the way, when was the last time you went to the library? [edit: YESTERDAY!]
Here is what happens when a government goes really Koo-koo for Cocoa Puffs, courtesy of Paul Belien:

France’s leading news executives are censoring their coverage of the riots for fear that their viewers might turn to the right.
“Politics in France is heading to the right and I don’t want right-wing politicians back in second, or even first place because we showed burning cars on television,” Jean-Claude Dassier, the director general of the rolling news service TCI, says.
Apparently Jean-Marie Le Pen, the president of the French-nationalist Front National (FN), is a bigger threat to democracy than “youths” who burn cars.

So that is how you handle a civil insurrection: You close your eyes and pretend it does not exist. If you ignore the riots in France, maybe they will go away?
Egalite, Liberte, Hypocrise.
