Hi Frank: Thanks for your comments the other day, re: gut feeling etc Once again the market and our reliable gut feeling has humbled the so called overpaid and overpraised gurus of Wall St - Yet again they have displayed their ineptitude by upgrading at the top and downngrading at the bottom. Maybe along with some of the more celebrated gurus who have been summarily humbled or left on the ash heap of Wall St history, these folks may yet become the latest in a long line of contrary indicators!! All I have heard from everybody is stay away from Asia, don't touch it with a 10 foot pole etc. IMO Friday was close to the nadir of sentiment over Korea and was a max point of anxiety here totally blown out of all proportion by TV Anchors trying to create doomsday scenarios with their smart a...d comments. How could anyone seriously believe that with 135,000 soldiers facing down North Korea and during the most important detente and talks in 40 years that the US is going to abandon Korea and play into the hands of the NKs is living on another planet. My read is that there was a degree of denial, misunderstanding and miscommunication out of language and cultural differences, (saving face etc) that led to teh capitulation. I heard the exact same thing with Mexico in March 95. Seasoned money mangers who controll billions were telling me stay away from Mex nothings going to happen for months or years. Conincident with those words the bottom was made and the market tripled in less than 3 years. Asia will come back bigger and better. Bet on it. On Friday KF Korea fund was on a fire sale already up sharply and looks higher. For what its worth Nasdaq Futures appear to be on a strong upward tear tonight.
