Initial Windows XP sales right between what Windows Me, and what Windows 98 did, according to NPD INTELECT.

10:42 ET Microsoft (MSFT) 63.36 +0.9 (+0.1%): NPD INTELECT reporting that over 300,000 copies of Windows XP were sold during the three-day period following its official launch. By way of comparison, sales of Windows Me were slightly above 200,000 units for the comparable period after its release while sales of Windows 98 approached 400,000 units during the comparable period following its release.
