In all fairness, since us Ameritrade account holders are cluttering the thread with negatives, let me interject some positive news. I too have had the usual problems associated with discount brokerages. I dont trade a heckuva a lot, about 5 trades a day, but last week was a bit out of the ordinary for Ameritrade. What was important to note was that today - from 9:30 on I had no trouble moving in and out of positions all day, getting confirmations, reaching the support line, and touch tone trading. They came thru for me today. I hope they get it together because when Ameritrade runs smooth, it runs damn smooth. Half my orders get executed 1/8 better than my limit- and believe me, 1/8 is about all im looking for so its a free b.
