I agree with you that protecting your equip. is wise and should be done, I use surge protection because I practice safe computing. I also recommend having a UPS.

Also the Phone company has responsibility in preventing surges and one can make a claim with them...it's a major pain I know.

Btw. Jeffy where arrrrrrrrrrrrre you???
