I agree that most normal people don't intentionally harm others, however, we've coined quite a few sophisticated terms to excuse ourselves. Adults are not innocent because we know about incidental harm. So we justify, suppress, project etc. all part of that tangled web thingy. My point was that I don't think small children bother with the psychology of living with their deceits because of the innocent factor. They might look for excuses when under a third degree from mom but are not as bothered by pangs of conscience.
