que seria, I am going away for two weeks, if I get access to a computer, I'll check in. Your strategy is the one that many institutions seem to employ. That of buying at different lows over time.

I have employed that strategy with my long term holdings in Avanex. I do the same thing with the other half of my positions, the shorter term trading part. However I trade the shorter term stuff when I have a good profit, and I think the mkt and the stock are starting to sell off short term.

There will come a point though, when we are out of the woods, and I will no longer trade one half of my Avanex position. At that point I will invest the rewmaining trading half for the long term.

If ahhaha is along term, buy and hold investor, I agree that at a certain point you can get hurt badly once a stock starts to move up, by being out of the stock when it moves.

Trading Avanex over the past few months on the long side worked because institutions continued to support the stock, and bad news in the mkt kept causing stocks to pull back giving new opportunities to buy.

After we get through this remaining area of uncertainty, I think it will make less and less sense to trade Avanex, and more sense to hold through the years of growth we anticipate.

By the way Investors Daily in Friday's tech section, says NT is laying off a little in its traditional business, but hiring in its high growth optical business. Investors also says that the optical end of the industry continues to grow at a much higher rate of 36% than the rest of the industry.

Valuations are still high in our sector, but demand for Avanex's stock is holding up, based on present availible info.

I am prepared for some news, that would take us back down to the lows or lower. But if that happens, I think the stock will only stay down briefly, but I will try to find the money to by additional shares at that low, if it occures, because my real interest is to be positioned well for thelong term. Good luck, shaw
