I want Tolonen out...then I will buy more Novell! CEO Schmidt needs a clean slate and should recruit a new CFO. I believe Joe and Paul would agree with me on this one. EKS (NOVL) Novell Inc. After market close, NOVELL INC CFO Jim Tolonen denied a published report that he was leaving the company. "I'm here. I have not been asked to leave and I have not chosen to leave," Tolonen told Reuters by telephone from his office in San Jose, California. Rumors circulated that Tolonen would be leaving after a published report appeared in Computer Reseller News, a trade publication. Tolonen said he had not been contacted by the author of the article. He also said he gets along well with Novell's new chief executive, Eric Schmidt. "We're both very busy. We're all working hard to turn Novell around," he said, adding that he has been traveling quite a bit on behalf of the company. (Reuters 04:25 PM ET 07/16/97)
