Bill Miller commented once that investors worry far too much about how a company accounts for things, and far too little about the quality of the assets, the business, if you will. He made this point about AOL. Even with wcom, the cash flows of the company are the same with either accounting. I think this ebitda scare is silly (although I agree that wcom broke the law). Malone could care less about showing GAAP earnings. If you have a horizon of 24 months, L will make you one happy camper.
