Dwight,

I guess it just hurts to see USR "cash in the chips", when they have been doing so good in all product lines: Total Control Hubs seem to be doing fabulous, x2 modems are flying off the shelves, the little Pilot is even doing well. USR was an undisputed leader with visionary management.

As rosey as URS's future appeared/appears to us, Cowell obviously thinks this deal increases USR's future prospects. I will gladly sacrifice some short term pain for better long term gains. The USR faithful have always sighted Cowell and management in general as one of the strongest assets of USR. It's funny that now this "visionary management" has come under so much fire because they have done something that has resulted in WS's short term wrath. It's my opinion that Cowell's vision is why he entered into this deal. He was quick to point out today that a majority of his net worth depends on the success of this venture. Talk about putting you money where your mouth is.

I understand and share people's short term frustrations, but I find solace in the bigger picture and a brighter future...a future that Cowell thinks will be brighter with COMS than without COMS.

Maybe I am just have too much faith, but Cowell's track record IMO speaks for itself.
