Mr. Mark --

Another opportunity for some good "egoboo" points. You helped me last year when I was looking for a great wallpaper changer -- and I appreciated that very much.

Different question now. I am the happy owner of a Maxtor external 80 GB drive that attaches via a 1394 connection (very cool, highly recommended). I have the Windows ME operating system.

The only thing is, I don't know what to use for backup software. Whereas the Jaz drive came with a nice CD from Iomega with the OneStep Backup and OneStep Restore programs (which were very effective), Maxtor ships no software.

Are there any hidden (to me, at least) utilities in Windows ME or decent shareware utilities that would do a simple backup and restore? Or must I invest in a commercial solution (if so, which would you recommend)?

Many TIAs,
Scarecrow
