My bet is Fibre Channel.

I read the reasons about the eventual dominance of this standard
awhile ago and I came away a believer - however I do not have the data in front of me right now to support it.

(However I think the things that intrigued me
was the scalability and the fact that it could be used all over
the place.)

Honestly I have
not given much thought to the Gigabit Ethernet thing since I
do not think you are going to have a Gigabit Ethernet enabled hard
drive but you will have (do have) a Fibre Channel hard drive!!! <g> To
me larger volume is a good thing.

Sure QLGC may be a good bet.
