I'm a Rome fan too. Nice job showing the continuum of Roman life from basic stuff like cheap apartments, butcher shops, cloth dying, and loan sharks, all the way to the cream of society on top of the hill. But early in the series I think they messed up with the cart full of gold bars. It sure looked way overloaded to me.

Modern film and TV people never get gold bullion right, and often show people carrying ridiculous amounts of the stuff. A cubic foot of gold weighs over 1,000 pounds! They did better in the olden days, when it took two bad guys to haul the strongbox off the stagecoach before the "Lone Ranger" showed up. <g>
