Glenn, you are correct, and Mcmillian book illustrates that too. please your margin on the 60 strike would be based on 30% at 60. you can't even buy a port. put cheaply to reduce risk and margin. Steve, I believe we would have difficulty disagreeing. How many years have you been doing options? I have been an active option "trader" for about 8 years but have been in the market much longer. I copied your post about the stangle plus spread protection based on security movement to store as a note on my computer for my future reference. I hope you do not mind. I could not come up with a known term for the position except an excellent position<G> Glenn
