Way back when in the '70s when I lived in Vermont, I used to drive to Michigan several times a year to visit my family. It was a 14 hour trip by way of Montreal, Toronto and Windsor, and I'd usually do it in my VW Bug in a single shot. One year, about an hour before I was to leave, my dog rolled in something mucho nasty. Didn't have time to clean her up so we took off and drove the entire way with the windows down. Peeeeyew.
