Wanna, thanks. I am very well versed in troubleshooting systems and I am aware of Dell's policies. Since this is my personal machine I was trying to avoid any downtime. For your information, total wattage for a machine does not indicate adequate power for a CPU. There are a lot of 300+watt power supplies out there that only supply 14 Amps to the 3.3 Volt line. That's not enough for a 1 Ghz Athlon or greater. I just looked in the link you sent me, the current for the 1Ghz PIII is 19.4-20.2 Amps @ 1.7-1.75 Volts. The provided power supply is definitely inadequate.
