LOL,,, I noticed that same commercial and was taken as your were and paid attention. I might likely avoid target, but I will not go out of my way to get to True Value. I would all things being equal avoid any store that has a policy in anyway restricting Merry Christmas. I don't care what the people say, I care if they are told not to say Merry Christmas.
